Background

I began performing professionally when I was 12 years old, and in a few short years was featured at the "International Garden of Stars" at Montreal's "Expo '67 World's Fair."

Since then, I have performed with several groups — The Big Town Boys, The Paupers, The Mandala, The Rock Show of the Yeomen, Big Rain and Orquesta Gitano, to name a few — primarily on keyboards and as lead singer "star-of-the-show" front man, but also on background vocals, harmonica, flute and percussion, as well as bandleader, music director, etc.

I have shared the stage with such notable celebrities as Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, Frank Zappa, The Who, The Guess Who, Led Zeppelin, Jefferson Airplane, The Band, Neville Brothers, Doobie Brothers, Tito Puente, Viva Brasil, Airto, Mango Santamaria, Flora Purim and many others.
